Chemika has updated its analytical equipment for analysis of metals. Our laboratory now boasts ICP-OES, ICP-MS and AAS all supplied by Perkin Elmer.
Perkin Elmer was chosen as supplier for these items because of their strong established presence in supply and service of ICPs. Instruments have been installed and qualified according to GAMP5 Guidelines including the CFR 21 Part 11 Compliance.
Chemika has methods established for analysis of elemental impurities as described in BP Appendix VIII W “Determination of Elemental Impurities” and USP <232> and <233>.
Pairing these instruments with microwave digestion puts Chemika in a very strong position for analysis of heavy metals in pharmaceutical materials. Changes in regulations of recent years require a change of approach and compliance cannot be achieved by simply conducting analysis of samples for a long list of elements.
