Effective 2 August 2026, Shannon Smyth will step into the role of Laboratory Services Manager at Chemika, becoming your main contact for updates on work in progress, testing timelines and results.
In the position of Laboratory Services Manager, Shannon is responsible for the overall efficient operation of the laboratory and the processing of samples in accordance with the procedures and methods in our Quality System.
Shannon joined Chemika earlier this year, bringing extensive experience in pharmaceutical laboratory testing and management, including specialist roles with FDA and MHRA licensed manufacturers in both Northern Ireland and Australia. She is looking forward to the new role and to continuing Chemika’s commitment to delivering reliable results when you need them.
Richard Miller is leaving Chemika to pursue a very different path — establishing a bakery, following the outstanding success of his recent pop-up store.We are enormously grateful for Richard’s many years of service since he joined Chemika in 2019. His capability and professionalism saw him promoted into the management role in 2021, and we have no doubt these same qualities will make his new venture a success.
